why do people use BFF? friends come and go. gah. what ever happened to close friend? or even brother or sister describing friends? BFF seems fucking inane because chances are you wont talk to that person in about 3,5, or even 10 years....

It really depends on the person's personality and their level of attachment to said person or persons. I have three or four friends that've been around for nearly 15 years. However, if you don't really open up, get attached, and actually BECOME friends, then they really aren't friends. Just acquaintances. Those come and go. Friends stay.
